- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
- 1 Tablespoon aluminum free baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 2 teaspoons raw sugar
- 1/2 cup softened butter (real butter…not margarine)
- 3/4 cup kefir (or buttermilk)
Instructions
- Begin by mixing all the dry ingredients then add in the butter and mix until crumbly. Next is to make a well in the center and add the kefir. Mix until mixed, remember not to over mix.
- Roll the dough about 1/2 inch thickness and use a glass or biscuit cutter to cut out biscuits. It yields 8-10 biscuits.
- Finally, bake in a 450 oven for 10-12 minutes.

- 4 eggs
- 3/4 cup kefir
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup butter, room temperature
- 3/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 26 Reese’s peanut butter cups
- Pinch of salt
Chocolate frosting
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup butter, room temperature
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 and line the 26 paper on cupcakes cups, set aside.
- Then mix on a bowl the butter and peanut butter using a paddle attachment and beat for one minute to combine. Add the sugar and beat until fluffy for about 3 minutes.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and eggs. Beating the eggs well after each addition.
- Then fold gently the flour, baking soda, salt and baking powder alternately with kefir. And stir until combined.
- Then into the prepared cupcake cups, pour one tablespoon of batter and place one peanut butter cup inside and top with the remaining cupcake batter.
- Finally bake into the oven for about 22-23 minutes or until the inserted toothpick comes out clean.
- For the frosting, whisk the butter on low speed for about two minutes or until light and fluffy.
- Then add the heavy cream and beat to combine using the paddle attachment.
- Slowly beat in the cocoa powder and powdered sugar, 1/2 cup at a time. When all the sugar and cocoa is added begin adding remaining heavy cream.
- This time increase the speed of the mixer to medium and beat for two more minutes. Use a piping bag to frost the cupcakes.

Creamy and delicious homemade chocolate ice cream with kefir. Try making this recipe, its quick and easy to prepare.
- 2 eggs
- 2/3 cup organic cocoa powder
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups kefir (yogurt, buttermilk, or whole milk)
- 1 cup kefir cream made with heavy cream (non-kefired heavy cream)
- 3/4 cup organic sugar (can use raw honey but reduce the amount by approximately 40%)
Instructions
- Begin by beating together the eggs and sugar. You may start a conservative amount of sweetener and add small amounts to taste.
- Next is to blend in the the kefir cream and vanilla. Pour the mixture into the ice cream maker and follow the instructions of the machine.
